Layer your satellite imagery and maps onto the terrain of Earth, other planets,
and moons to understand spatial relationships with other data and to add
realism.
JPEG 2000 (.jp2), ECW (.ecw), MrSID (.sid), and AGI's PDTTX (.pdttx) files
in the WGS84 geographic projection are supported for imagery. Also, Microsoft's
Bing Maps for Enterprise and ECW imagery streamed from a server through the ECWP
protocal are supported. You can convert BMP,
JPEG, TIFF, and other image formats to JPEG 2000 using Insight3D.
For terrain, convert your USGS Digital Elevation Model (DEM), NGA Digital
Terrain Elevation Data (DTED), GEODAS Gridded Terrain (GRD98), USGS GTOPO30, or
AGI's World Terrain files to Insight3D's PDTT format for optimized rendering.
For more information, see our
online documentation for
imagery, terrain, and
projecting video onto terrain.
