When modeling the line of sight between a soldier and a communications satellite, you'd like the soldier and the satellite to be positioned where they are in reality; anything else is misleading. Other  products might model the earth as a sphere, which could result in the soldier being modeled many meters - and the satellite many kilometers - away from their actual positions and distorting their  relationship. Insight3D models the earth as a WGS84 ellipsoid and places your data exactly where you specify to clarify rather than confuse.
